Imran Khan’s house barricade: Police encircle former PM’s Lahore house



Political turmoil surrounding ousted leader Imran Khan has taken another turn.
The former prime minister addressed the nation saying police have surrounded his house in Lahore.
The 70 year old veteran politician said that police were preparing to detain him again. Khan was arrested last week in connection with a corruption case. On Thurday, Pakistan's supreme court ruled that arrest was illegal. His arrest had sparked violent protests across the country. Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan tells Al Jazeera – police action against him and his supporters are meant to deter him from running in general elections. Haider Zaman Qureshi is a member of the Central Executive of the Pakistan People’s Party.
