Medvedev beats Serbian Djokovic in US Open final
Novak Djokovic's bid to win all four tennis grand slam tournaments this year has ended in tears. The world number one missed out on a record 21st major after being beaten by Russia's Daniil Medvedev in the US Open final. The Russian had said before the match that he was determined to stop Djokovic from being the first man since 1969 to win all four majors in a tennis season.
