Ukrainian teen amputee rehabs after surviving Russian glide bomb, aims to help others

A 17-year-old girl named Kamila from Ukraine is learning to walk again after losing her leg in a Russian strike earlier this year on Kharkiv. Her leg had to be amputated, and the rehabilitation process could take up to six to twelve months. She and her sister, both injured in the attack, receive support from a centre that helps amputees with prosthetics and rehabilitation. The increasing use of glide bombs by Russia in Ukraine poses a constant threat, making rehabilitation all the more critical. Despite the challenges, Kamila aspires to study psychology and psychiatry to help others in the future. Al Jazeera’s Assed Baig reports from Kharkiv, Ukraine.
