US warns it will not ‘stand by in the face of horrors’ in Tigray
The US has warned Ethiopia and Eritrea it will take tough action if the conflict continues. The warning from the Biden administration came as a congressional committee on foreign affairs heard evidence on the violence in the Tigray region. The chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs was similarly emphatic, saying what they were seeing from Tigray bore "the hallmarks of crimes against humanity".
