Assad gets warm reception as Syria welcomed back into Arab League
Syrian President Bashar al Assad has attended the Arab League Summit for the first time since war began in his country, 12 years ago.
Assad had been shunned for his brutal crackdown on opposition protesters but has been welcomed back to the bloc of Arab nations.
