Chad food shortage: UN warns refugees are at risk of hunger

The UN in Chad is warning it is running out of provisions as more refugees flee the fighting in Sudan. Nearly two million people in the country need daily food assistance. as well as six hundred thousand refugees who were already living in Chad. Another three hundred thousand are internally displaced and also receive food aid. The World Food Programme says a lack of immediate funding to cope with the influx of more refugees could be catastrophic. Al Jazeera’s Zein Basravi reports from Chad’s capital N'Djamena.
