Dozens of people die in shipwreck in Italy

At least 64 people have drowned and dozens are missing after a sailboat carrying refugees, capsized off the coast of southern Italy on Sunday. Italy is a common entry point for refugees and asylum seekers hoping to reach Northern Europe. Since 2014, the UN Missing Migrants Project says that more than 17,000 people have died in the Central Mediterranean, including at least 220 so far this year.
