A downpayment on justice. That's what George Floyd's family and supporters are calling the 22-and-a-half year sentence of former police officer, Derek Chauvin. Floyd's murder last year shook the United States – prompting calls against racism and for police reform, and protests worldwide. But for many the sentence is not enough, and they argue racism and discrimination are damaging how the U.S. functions. Floyd's family said it's a first step towards healing the United States.
