South Sudanese return home to escape violence in Sudan



More than 800,000 South Sudanese had fled long-running conflicts in their homeland across the border to Sudan. But the recent violence in Sudan has prompted thousands to return, leading to a major humanitarian and logistical crisis. Aid agencies are appealing for an additional $96m to assist the enormous influx of people who are arriving at transit camps near the border.
