Virginia removes massive Confederate monument
The US state of Virginia has taken down a statue that glorifies the South's slavery of Black Americans. Workers removed Civil War General Robert E Lee in Richmond to the cheers of crowds. Calls to remove it grew louder last year after the murder of George Floyd and the nationwide racial justice protests that followed.
